An experienced Cloud Architect with Azure experience required for 6 month contract based in Sydney CBD.

Key responsibilities:

• Designing Azure solutions that meet the evolving IT requirements, aligned to enterprise-wide IT architectures and standards.
• Contribute towards development and delivery of Public and Private Cloud Strategy and roadmaps
• Deliver well architected, secure solutions to support Azure cloud migration strategy
• Collaborate with cyber security group to strengthen the Azure cloud security
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholder groups to effectively communicate and resolve any platforms and systems related issues.
• Provide leadership and guidance to following lean architectural practice.
• Keep current with dynamic technology trends to address changing business needs

Skills requirements:

• Over 10 years of experience in software development and architecture 
• Strong, proven skills in designing Azure cloud platforms - assisting in defining and implementing cloud strategies (public and private), architecting cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience in migrating existing applications to Azure.
• Experience with automated deployment, configuration and scripting tools (Linux shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, Chef, Puppet, Windows DSC)
• Solid experience working with: Windows Server (2008/2012/2016), SCCM, Active Directory (& Group Policies)
• Capability to identify & mitigate risks and security concerns in public cloud solutions
• Passion to operate within Agile and DevOps environment
• Strong communicator - Ability to present technical concepts to business stakeholders
• Ability to influence a team in lean architecture principals
