    Due to a promotion in the team, an opportunity for an experienced Service Desk/ Helpdesk Consultant has become available. This large, well known organisation is based within the Western suburbs and is looking for a professional that enjoys working as part of a team, are customer focused and adaptable to change.

    The main purpose of this position is to provide professional Customer Service and efficient Technical Support to customers within performance standards and service levels. Full documentation is provided however a background in a similar role and the ability to engage customers and talk through technical issues is essential.

    As mentioned, the role will initially be a 12 month contract however opportunities for permanency and further training will be on offer for the diligent worker. The ability to communicate effectively and to work collaboratively with team members is of the utmost importance.

    The key responsibilities for this position are:
     
  • Answer inbound IT related calls
  • Process inbound emails and faxes
  • Ensure customer incidents, requests and queries are resolved at the 1st level wherever possible.
  • Ensure service levels are met.
  • Perform project activities
  • Ensure the customer experience is preserved at all times.

    Essentially, the successful candidate will possess the following:
     
  • Proven IT Helpdesk experience
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) skills
  • A sound working knowledge of Networking, Windows 2000/XP, Outlook
  • Ability to adapt and change in an evolving environment
  • A flexible, can do attitude and the desire to succeed
