We are seeking a Big Data Hadoop Administrator/Engineer for large scale Data & Analytics of large enterprises. Our client is building a team to support their next-generation data platform initiatives. We are we're looking for an Engineer who can lead the charge and take their existing architecture, design, and cloud-based data engineering to the next level.

You will be working under general direction as a member of the Technical Team in the Project Delivery function of Hadoop Delivery Support; Design, Build and implement and support robust Hadoop Big Data platforms for customers.

Your responsibilities are:

• Development in Big Data Hadoop.
• Assessing and recommending solutions in line with customers' requirements.
• Managing, maintaining and supporting Hadoop platform
• Providing capacity management monitoring and activities
• On-boarding activities for new projects to the Big Data Platform
• Providing first and second level support duties Hadoop Platform

You will need:

• 5 years or more of IT experience required
• 2 years or more experience of Hadoop Development
• Sound understanding of the hardware ecosystem and Cloudera Hadoop Architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in working with Hadoop Distribution platforms such as Impala, Solr, HDFS, Yarn/MapReduce, Hive, Pig and Java.
• Strong understanding of Puppet orchestration and automation scripting
• Proficient in scripting for Hive and Oozie
• Hadoop Certification preferred
