Organisation -
Join an energetic small team in a large Government agency that has an established implementation of the Daptiv Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool. The tool is cloud-based and has an inbuilt COGNOS 10.x reporting capability.

Role overview:
There is an urgent requirement to build/modify several COGNOS reports and dashboards to support an enterprise rollout of the tool and also develop several additional reports and dashboards to support an enhancement of the project assurance capability.

In addition, there is also a need to start building a Power BI capability, external to the PPM tool, to provide dashboards and data insights through the use of an analytics tool, for more ability in integrated with the organisation's other toolsets and data.

Key Responsibilities:
You will work with the enterprise Portfolio Assurance Unit and the ICT Program Management Office and key stakeholders to:
- Analyse and document user requirements
- Design and develop COGNOS reports and dashboards
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboard
- Modify existing reports and dashboards
- Increase the in-house understanding
- Capability in the COGNOS and Power BI toolset.

Essential requirements with demonstrated experience:
- Experienced COGNOS developer (at least 3 years)
- Experienced in Power BI developer (preferred)
- Strong mathematical capability
- Certified Solution Expert (or equivalent) in COGNOS
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to write good documentation
- Understanding of basic accounting concepts such as; budgets/actuals/forecasts
- Ability to work under pressure, in a team and meet deadlines

Note: the successful applicant will need to work out of both our city and Parramatta locations.
