In this role you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operation of the core infrastructure as well as being heavily involved in project work as necessary. You will be exposed to numerous best of breed technologies, mostly cloud based for the small/medium sized business arena and will have the ability to learn and adapt very quickly!   

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily maintenance and operation of the core infrastructure
  • Undertake project work as necessary – new customers as well as general system improvements
  • Understand the concept of "Best Practice"  
  • Mentor more junior technical members of the team and act as a point of technical escalation

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Strong systems administration experience – small/medium sized business environment
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technology – Microsoft AzureWindows Server 2016, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Office365,  AD, SaaS
  • Knowledge of firewall configuration and management
  • RDS experience looked upon favourably
  • Experience with RMM solutions
  • Experience with PSA software
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications!
  • Exceptional attention to detail and diligence with documentation 
  • Strong ability to work independently but also recognise when help is required
  • Great time management skills
  • Enthusiastic, "can and will do" attitude!
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology
  • Always striving to develop both personally and professionally!
