Skype for Business Support Officer Contract Job Melbourne CBD

Your new company
This role is with a state Government organisation and based in Melbourne’s CBD. Our client requires a Level 2 Technical Lead for the roll out and support of Skype for Business / Enterprise voice for a 6 month engagement with the possibility to extend.

Your new role

  • Develop end user training material including Quick guides, FAQs and undertake group training to corporate of users.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships & provide technical leadership
  • Coordinate and collaborate with business application stakeholders and infrastructure teams to ensure successful upgrades, installations or integration activities
  • Identify, recommend and execute opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Convey technical concepts to individuals without prior technical knowledge or understanding of topics and maintain consistent work practices



What you'll need to succeed

  • Skype for Business / Enterprise voice enterprise experience
  • Strong analytical skills; able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written, organisational, and verbal communication skills as well as collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Polycom devices
  • Experience working in large scale deployments / enterprise experience
  • Experience with Genesys Voice Platform is desirable
  • Experience and knowledge in Sonus (formerly NET) SBC x000 gateways or the equivalent from another vendor is desirable
  • Good understating of networking principals and concepts, including: routing, switching, wireless and firewall is desirable
  • Life Cycle management of phone numbers
  • Work collaboratively with the Unified Messaging team, adhering to ITIL principals and internal business best practices.
