About the Role
We are currently seeking a Senior UX Business Analyst to join our highly successful business unit
As the Senior UX Business Analyst you will act as the pivot or intermediary between end-users and IT to ensure that business/user requirements are delivered in IT solutions.
Duties
- Analysing and delivering business process initiatives on medium to large initiatives.
- Facilitation of workshops using a variety of techniques to extract business requirements from larger groups of stakeholders.
- Analysing business workflow to create process maps and identify business improvement.
- Assisting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with writing user requirements following UX methods.
- Developing functional specifications that design and document desired outcome of system enhancement/development.
- Producing technical specifications to communicate user requirements in technical terms to analyst programmers/project team.
- Coordinating and assisting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with testing. This includes System Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the overall efficiency, functionality and user friendliness of system enhancement/development.
- Preparing material and providing training and assistance to end-users following implementation.
- Working as a crucial component of a project team responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems.
- Provide consultancy expertise in a variety of business analysis areas to add value to the client’s organisation.
Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Strong understanding of user experience techniques and the ability to conduct workshops using contemporary techniques such as Design Thinking and Agile consulting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle.
- Technical knowledge of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts.
- Outstanding technical specification writing/documentation skills.
- Outstanding ability to analyse, isolate and interpret business needs and identify appropriate solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of business process re-engineering and ability to demonstrate experience in these areas.
- Experience in implementation of projects both custom build or off the shelve solutions.
- An appreciation of both IT and business strategies and the value they add to both areas within the organisation.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-manage small projects.
