TROC - Networking Expert in LAN/WAN/WIRELESS/Security

Job Description
The role is expected to carry out following function/activities as part of this job. This is exhaustive list but not limited to :

  • To lead Network monitoring and complex troubleshooting activities over supported network/IT Infrastructure covering multi-vendor and multi-site large enterprise environment.
  • Lead all critical P1/P2 incidents reported by business and Collaborate with other technical SMEs on all incidents affecting production systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and Security incidents, Coordinate with wider team (onsite and offshore), OEM support teams to resolve issues.
  • Lead technical discussions and have up to date knowledge on the latest industry trends and technology.
  • Measure, report and Maintain all service delivery KPIs / SLA as defined in the service contract.
  • Analyze data relationships and dependencies, business and service delivery processes and communication needs regarding existing and new systems.
  • To raise equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and to track these through to problem resolution.
  • Follow up on problem management and investigate workarounds and permanent fixes for reoccurring incidents.
  • Executes activities safely in accordance with the relevant Technology and HSE Standards.
  • Reports events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner.

All Job function will require to be demonstrated in following specialized area of IT Infrastructure

  • Multiple tool sets like Solarwinds , ServiceNow, Dynatrace etc.
  • Network – WAN/LAN/WLAN/MAN/MPLS/VPN and data communications technologies.
  • IP Routing protocols – BGP, EIGRP, OSPF,VRRP,LDP,RSVP, STP, RSTP, MSTP,Multicast,Policy based routing.
  • Switches/Routers/Load blanacers/WAN Optimizers/ Firewalls.
  • Routing, Switching,WAN Optimization and Load balalncing.
  • Network technologies and solutions including IPv6, MPLs, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, multicast, policy-based routing, ether-channel, QoS, traffic-shaping, Load balancing, VPN tunnels, WAN Optimization.
  • Clear understanding of 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standards and related components.
  • Wireless Controllers and Access Points.
  • Network security policies and firewall administration for Cisco , CheckPoint and PaloAlto firewalls.
  • IDP / IPS management.
  • BIGIP F5 (LTM and GTM).
  • Good understanding of Juniper Q-Fabric Operation & Design.
  • Creation and maintenance of VLANs & network segregation.
  • Cisco Nexus 5k,7k and 9k and Riverbed steelhead CX,DX and EX series.
  • Load Balancing, including priority group activation and connection limits. Persistence concepts.
  • BIG-IP GTM: Global Traffic Manager - Installation and Licensing, Accelerated and Intellegent DNS Resolutions, LDNS Probes and Metrics, DNSSEC, iRules, Synchronization, DNS Integration, iHealth.
  • Knowledge of JUNOS/Juniper Platform is highly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Juniper VPN gateway’s Operation & Design.
  • Juniper/Cisco Integration.

Experience/Skill requirements:

  • Industry experience: Telecom/ISP/Enterprise networks.
  • Years of experience: 7+ years of working experience on IT Infratructure function like LAN/ WAN / Wireless and Network Security areas.
  • Remote Monitoring and Major Incident Management Experieince is a must.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Understanding of multiple tool sets like Solarwinds , ServiceNow, Dynatrace etc.
  • Well organized and able to do multi-tasking, problem solving, trouble shooting techniques and strategic thinking.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with, OEMs , field technicians and external customers and offshore teams.
  • Proven Network Troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in Network security areas firewalls ( CheckPOint , Cisco , Juniper ) and IDPs and IPS appliances.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Cisco/Juniper/Riverbed/F5 technologies devices.
  • Technical knowledge and experience in management of large enterprise customers network.
  • Customers handling and stakeholer management skills.
  • Strong experience in supporting networks for mid-to-large corporate customers.
  • Ability to influence, persuade and mobilize internal/external resources to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong & effective customer relationships.
  • Analytical skills to interpret IT user requests and understand end user requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of the IT Service Management framework, practices, and process experience in Information Technology.
  • Experience of direct exposure to customer, fault mitigation and escalation process to all operational levels.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Number of years of experience may vary based on Bachelors or Master’s Degree. Any additional education will be added advantage.

Certifications ( Any one of the below mentioned certifications is mandatory):

  • CCIE/CCNP/CCIP in Routing/Switching/Wireless, F5-CA,F5-CTS,F5-CSE,Riverbed,JNCIS-SP/JNCIP-SP, Checkpoint Certified

Shift Timing Requirements ( Mandatory ):

  • Should be ready for 12 hr. shifts.
  • Should be ready for night shifts.
