ICT Business Analyst – NSW Government

An ICT Business Analyst is required by a NSW Government Department based in Eveleigh on an initial contract until mid-January 2019. The Business Analyst will be working across a program related to departmental-wide IT infrastructure distribution.
  
Key responsibilities:

• Develop business requirements; scope process/systems change proposals and statements to support the department’s business technologies, systems and tools
• Oversee/prepare analysis and documentation of business processes, work flow and requirements for new systems and tools and/or changes and enhancements to existing systems and tools
• Develop & document business cases for proposed new or enhanced technologies, systems and tools
• Contribute technical and thought leadership to various teams to document business processes and procedures
• Participate in business process improvement to ensure the integration of business applications
• Prepare test plans; support documentation for systems and tools
• Lead planning workshops to capture and define user requirements
• Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings and required
• Design and develop dashboards (including Executive and Daily Dashboards)
• Design, develop and implement an inventory management system
• Act as technical liaioson between various teams and suppliers
• Develop and document key artefacts
• Data governance and management
• Apply and use analytical and development tools, techniques and systems to identify, develop, document and validate solution requirements

Selection criteria:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• 5+ years’ ICT Business Analyst experience
• Demonstrated experience working in agile teams
• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
