Purpose

Due to operating changes, an increased investment in our emerging Australian region, and our rapid growth agenda Cognizant Digital Business are searching for a new Practice Lead for our Web / API / Full Stack development team. As a senior leader within our team you will lead, manage, and enable your practice by developing and owning your practice vision for your specialized IT consultancy practice.

  • Develop, evolve, and execute a Practice vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop, maintain and review Practice offerings
  • Support workforce planning and management with a focus on team care, meeting current demand and establishing the capability and structures to support future demand
  • Support the pre-sales cycle through activities including customer relationship development, proposal preparation, commercial document creation and delivery planning
  • Proactively participate in organizational leadership, strategic and operational business planning activities
  • Actively build team culture and facilitate team member performance, learning, career development, and facilitate team participation in industry communities and events

 

A candidate who will excel

You thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment and have the ability to adapt to varying demands and competing priorities with ease. You will be a senior professional with demonstrable experience leading, driving, and developing a clear services-based technology strategy for a practice area, preferably in the professional services and consulting industry. You will also be able to articulate and demonstrate your people leadership and management capability of large technology teams, whilst achieving results.

 

You will also possess

  • Ability to actively participate and contribute in all aspects of pre-sales cycles – including customer relationship management, proposal development, delivery planning, and estimating
  • Solid skills in delivery, and the management of delivery, of technology solutions across multiple phases
  • Proven ability to develop and realize a compelling vision through effective leadership, strategic planning and operational execution
  • Able to manage and develop relationships with significant stakeholders in medium to large organizations
  • Skills in preparation and critical review of commercial models, instruments and documentation
  • Proven ability to manage a significant budget, to forecast and prepare management reporting and metrics
