We are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our team in the Melbourne CBD office. This role is responsible for managing the day to day administration of the extensive network infrastructure for the entire Citizen Services division.
Key accountabilities of this role include:
- Deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring of the data networks and converged infrastructure
- Architect, analyse, develop, enhance, secure and test complex network designs
- Proactively monitor network and equipment to ensure high availability and redundancy
- Provide specialist technical advice, support and consultancy services to management, service providers and external vendors
- Co-ordinate and coach technical staff to ensure timely service and solution to client problems
- Contribute to the development of IT strategic plans and facilitate their implementation
- Provide timely 2nd and 3rd support to clients in resolving technical problems and providing solutions
- Performing analysis of network security needs and contribute to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software
- Project ownership - starting from incubation of plan/design to delivery and ensuring support service levels are met
- Flexible working hours and ability to travel as required.
We are looking for someone with considerable experience in a similar network security engineering role and the ability to demonstrate capability in various networking technologies and providing technical support focussed on Cisco routing, switching and security solutions. You MUST be either CCIE or CCNP qualified, and have experience working with Cisco ASA, IOS & NX-OS. Knowledge and experience in managing firewalls, complex routing configurations and load balancers is essential. CISSP, PCI-DSS, ISM or ISO27001 experience will be highly regarded.
