IT Infrastructure Engineer – Retailer!
JIVARO is currently working with an established and growing retailer based in Melbourne who are seeking a highly motivated, driven, passionate and creative IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. The business has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, becoming the market leading retailers in Australia and New Zealand.
In this role you will working within the IT department reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager where you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s network server, and desktop systems, implement IT projects and act as the escalation point for IT support related enquiries from our clients team and support office in Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- System administration and maintenance of IT Infrastructure for head office and branch offices.
- IT Service Desk management, control and reporting.
- Investigate and diagnose network problems.
- Undertake systems and network implementation projects.
- Maintain/Update the Asset databases and Infrastructure documentation.
- Escalate and work with both internal IT and external vendors to resolve incidents.
- Build and image workstations and laptops.
- Provide L1/L2/L3 support for Desktops/Laptops and servers.
- Manage corporate mobile devices and contracts.
- Manage meeting room systems.
- VoIP, Phones, Mobiles, Printers support including LAN/WAN/VPN connectivity issues.
- Log warranty cases with hardware suppliers and provide updates to internal team.
- Liaise with vendors for hardware/software procurement.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in providing desktop/server level support in a corporate or IT vendor environment.
- Intermediate to expert level skills required in Microsoft server and desktop operating systems.
- Expert in Active Directory and day to day user provisioning and administrative functions.
- Experience in DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy required.
- Experience in WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, IPSEC, SMTP, SIP and VOIP technologies required.
- Experience in Microsoft Exchange required.
- Projects implementation experience essential.
- Exposure to cloud services such as Office365, Azure, or AWS would be advantageous.
- Exposure to Microsoft server applications such as SQL, IIS and SharePoint advantageous.
- Technical understanding of ERP and POS systems beneficial.
You will have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in engineering/Industry certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, CCNA/CCNP preferred
- Relevant industry experience: preferred within Fashion & Retail
- Ability to multi-task and be highly organised
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Creativity, adaptability and takes ownership of the incidents and see them to a satisfactory resolution
