We are seeking an experienced and articulate Senior Project Manager for a contract engagement, based in Melbourne CBD to assist the business to deliver a large part of their IT Strategy. 

Key Accountabilities;
 
  • Project task and resource management, issue and risk management, delivery management and documentation management
  • Manage RFP selection processes and vendor selections, supporting consultancy partner leveraged to deliver agreed outcomes
  • Completion and approval of business case, including formulation of risk assessment plan
  • Managing both business and technical requirements within the required schedule, scope and budget, including finalisation of detailed requirements
  • Finalisation and implementation of:
    • future state operating model capabilities required to support the organisation
    • data governance model required to support the organisation
  • Documenting and agreeing SLAs and KPIs for any new managed services
  • Follow existing project methodology and framework practices, change management and project management policies (AGILE)
  • Support the program planning and delivery of overall IT Strategy
  • Support of vendor relationship management required to successfully deliver change, including implementation of Strategic vendor relationship engagement models
  • Support development sprint board prioritisation, including coordination of regular stand-ups to define work/effort and monitor progress.
  • Recommend improvements to functioning models involving our strategic systems
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years’ experience in the finance industry, preferably within funds management/ investments
  • Previous experience of delivering projects in the business intelligence/ data & analytics space
  • Extensive experience in performing project management for enterprise-wide change including technology transformation, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Vendor selection of strategic service providers
  • Experience formalising successful business cases, leading analysis & requirements definition, functional design, testing, implementation, change management and user training
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across c-level executives and front office staff, which will include chairing steering committees
  • Agile methodology for delivery including the use of application sprint boards
  • Experience with front to middle/ back office systems integration including investment data management, pricing and valuation
  • Strong analytical, critical and lateral thinking
  • Achievement focus with the ability to work to a deadline and show initiative to realise objectives and business benefits
