This role will be part of a team delivering a number of IT Infrastructure projects primarily focused on Microsoft infrastructure products. Specifically, the developing a Managed Operating Environment (MOE) for a Windows 10 SOE deployment.
Along with a broad understanding of IT Infrastructure technologies, the role would be well suited to someone with attention to detail, project exposure, with proven experience in the creation of an image and deploying Microsoft Win10.
Technical Requirements
The duties of this position include the following, specifically regarding SCCM and Microsoft Windows systems:
- Specialist in Desktop OS/application Image Building;
- Extensive Windows 10 SOE skills;
- Engaging in desktop Application discovery;
- Working experience in MDT (Microsoft deployment kit);
- Active Directory GPO's;
- Application assessments and remediation;
- Application and Authentication awareness;
- Experience with SCCM, Active Directory/Group Policy Objects (GPO);
- Workstation configuration and support;
- Previous testing experience; and
- Prior experience with SOE upgrade and migration projects.
Some of the responsibilities for this role will be:
- Build new Image for the corporate desktop;
- Discovery of desktop assets using SCCM or SNOW;
- Remote management and desktop support;
- Build and support a desktop test lab; and
- Application analysis and SOE image testing.
Essential Criteria
- Current and demonstrated systems support experience at senior level in large Enterprise environments for the following technologies in a multi-forest environment:
- SCCM, Win10, Antivirus, Snow, Office 2016;
- Demonstrated extensive experience in Microsoft-centric solution design and administration in a large enterprise environment with at least 5 years experience;
- Demonstrated superior experience with Image design and build for a large deployment; and
- Demonstrated experience with Quality Assurance with building test labs, test artefacts and defect management.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with supporting and maintaining complex environments with a focus on issues management and fault resolution;
- Experience working in a large project team working with time frames and project deliverables;
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and application of Windows management tools and practices; and
- Experience with Microsoft O365, cloud, Exchange and SharePoint.
