We are a Telecommunications company based on the Gold Coast, looking for another staff member to add to our existing Experienced IT Support Team. You will need to be a well presented, self-motivated, person with excellent communication skills as you will be providing Level 1 and 2 technical support to our customers over the phone.
The Role
- Take first level support calls from customers and handling issues in a reasonable time and manner. This includes answering, logging and resolving first in line helpdesk calls.
- Interacting with vendors for support when required
- Using remote software
- Handling Microsoft office, desktop and phone issues
- Diagnose internet and IT faults and escalate if required
- Logging faults and tickets
- Occasional onsite work with customers will also be included
The successful applicant will possess the following skills and traits:
- Strong desktop support skills across all MS platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly developed organisational and problem solving skills.
- An ability to identify sales opportunities.
- A current Australian (Queensland) drivers licence.
- A strong understanding of IP addressing and subnetting
- A sound understanding of routing and switching concepts
- Create, manage and respond to tickets in our internal ticketing system
- Knowledge in Windows Operating Systems (7 & 10 especially), Apple Operating Systems, desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, MS Office Outlook, other mail clients, TeamViewer, web browsers.
- An understanding of email systems, managed via cPanel (adding users, troubleshooting delivery issues, setting up accounts)
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues remotely
- Database modification
