We are currently looking for a Principal Project Manager for a 12 month contract with a large government department based in Brisbane CBD. You will be joining the Government Wireless Network program of work. This role would suit Principal Project Manager who has previously developed and scoped procurement documentation for vendor selection, specifically requirements gathering for a business process workflow software-as-a-service solution, through to implementation.Responsibilities:
- Initiate new projects and deliver high level communication to project sponsors and other key stakeholders ensuring they are briefed on projects objectives, milestones and progress.
- Scope and manage critical, high profile GWN initiatives, in order to achieve agreed objectives in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare relevant project documentation to a high standard, to ensure appropriate communication of project scope, objectives, status and deliverables.
- Establish plans and schedules for internal and external project activities, including financial plans and estimates to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor, manage and control project activities in accordance with agreed plans, including management of financial costs, risks and issues, and ensure that appropriate corrective actions are taken to deliver the project on time and to budget.
- Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including cross-agency representatives, consultants and contractors, to ensure project success.
- Adopt existing projects and oversee delivery of requirements to ensure satisfactory outcomes
- Provide additional level of oversight on existing high profile projects managed via GWN contractors
- Document existing business processes, update existing documentation
- Develop and scope procurement documentation for vendor selection, specifically requirements gathering for a business process workflow software-as-a-service solution
- Manage on-boarding of additional agencies onto the GWN, while improving business processes and handling new agency enquiries
- Work closely with fellow team members within a small focused team
