The organisation is seeking a Technical Business Analyst.
The Business Analyst would need to have extensive experience with working on Application Migration projects.
They must be able to work effectively as a team member with an ability to take initiative and work independently as required. Excellent written and oral communication is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently to meet project commitments and aggressive deadlines. Business focus and stakeholder management is crucial.
Key Accountabilities:
- Take responsibility for the analysis of complex business scenarios to develop user business requirements and process designs for new systems and enhancements to existing systems, allowing clients to achieve maximum efficiency in their work processes.
- Analyse user requirements with respect to technology capabilities, existing systems, and integration methods to develop functional designs, data schemas and data flows for whole system solutions corresponding with business requirements and processes.
- In complex integrated systems, develop comprehensive test strategies and plans along with related documentation; participate in system testing and co-ordinate UAT efforts for assigned project and support work.
- Develop and deliver appropriate training programmes for assigned projects and as otherwise assigned.
- Apply internal standards to all analysis, designs, and documentation.
- Provide support for new and existing systems including defining support structures within and across divisions and sections, documentation and problem analysis in accordance with application development standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in either computing incorporating business analysis or business incorporating systems analysis required.
- Strong application migration experience
- Demonstrated detailed knowledge and experience in the analysis of business application systems including skills in business process analysis, requirements specification and problem-solving.
- Highly developed ability and experience in process modeling, data modeling and system design combined with an outstanding ability to apply theoretical technical knowledge to business requirements.
- Proven skills in clear documentation of complex business requirements, system designs, testing, and training.
- In-depth knowledge of quality practices and standard approaches in software development and service management. A good grounding in ITIL principles will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated motivation and proactive approach combined with specialist leadership in business and/or systems analysis contributing to team goals with respect to technology and business strategies.
- Outstanding written/oral communication skills, together with a demonstrated ability to convey complex technical information to meet the needs of the relevant audience
