Or client is seeking an experienced Project Manager who has a proven track record within the telecommunications industry specifically with the Telstra CAN and nbn FTTN deployment.
 
Project Manager - nbn
 
The Position:
 
Responsible for planning, leading and managing assigned regional design and construction projects from quotation/tender stage through to delivery and completion. This includes managing personnel, and resources within the assigned region to ensure that overall quality, time, performance, and cost targets are met. The Project Manager will serve as liaison between business, customer and technical aspects of projects, plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.
 
Duties:
  • Manage and report upon project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Manage a distributed sub-contractor workforce.
  • Work in conjunction with relevant operational Managers to ensure workforce levels are such that the required delivery dates are achieved.
  • Locate and recruit suitably qualified sub-contractor resources where and when required.
  • Manage internal Field Supervisory staff deployed on the program.
  • Deal directly with the Customer's NSW based representatives, including but not limited to local PM's, Supervisors, etc.
  • Have a complete understanding of the commercial contract for projects and be able to proactively manage critical components, risks and opportunities.
 
The Person:

  • Proven experience successfully managing projects within the fixed-line / fibre telecommunications / construction industries.
  • Experience implementing operational strategies and delivering programs that have successfully produced high level results, across financial performance, safety, project delivery, human resources and business systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.
  • Construction Induction White Card.
  • Experience in risk, change and critical incident management
