Fujitsu has a great opportunity for an ITAR/Export Compliance Coordinator to join an infrastructure project on a contract term to support all aspects of export/import compliance, in particular compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and DTCA.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify requirements for export/import licenses, agreements or other approvals under Fujitsu's various engagements.
- Build and sustain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Process and manage applications for export authorisations, including Technical Assistance Agreements, Third Party Re-transfers and Australian Export Permits for Fujitsu and various stakeholders.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with the Fujitsu Australia Limited's Technology Control Plan, as well as ensuring compliance with client processes and procedures.
- Updating Fujitsu's import/export compliance processes and procedures in accordance with legislative changes and current 'best practice' in Australia.
- Identify and manage risks and issues associated with import/export control compliance and carrying out preventative and corrective actions.
- Manage information management requirements for export controlled technology.
- Ensure compliant recordkeeping, ongoing maintenance and support.
- Provide subject matter expertise on export control/ITAR matters.
- Draft and review export control components of tender documentation, RFQTS, contracts and subcontracts.
- Perform other export compliance related duties as required.
Skills and experience:
- Good knowledge and understanding of DTCA, US ITAR, US AECA and FMS.
- Good knowledge and understanding of requirements under Cooperative Programs (MOUs etc) (highly desirable)
- A tertiary qualification in Law, IT or a relevant technical area (desirable)
- Proficiency with record-keeping requirements and policies designed to facilitate compliance with local and international export/import control laws and regulations.
- Good knowledge of local and international Trade and Export/Import Laws and Regulations including EAR, ITAR, other trade programs (highly desirable).
- Good knowledge of PSPF, DSM and ISM (highly desirable).
- Basic understanding of Information Communication Technology and sub-systems.
- Basic understanding of modelling and simulation.
- Familiarity with Federal Government policies and procedures, namely security and procurement policies.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing assignments.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to liaise with all levels of staff, management and external organisations.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the security requirements of the role, candidates MUST BE AUSTRALIAN CITIZENS and hold a minimum NV1 security clearance.
