About the company
A not-for-profit association located in the Brisbane CBD are looking for a new member to join their development team to support the on-going development and support of their web platform.
About the role
As the Front End Developer, you will join a medium size digital team and be responsible for the implementation of finished custom website design concepts into the current CMS platform. This is a 12 month fixed-contract role (with possibility to extend), joining a flexible and friendly organisation that understands and values work/life balance.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of finished custom website design concepts into the current CMS platform using valid, compliant, and accessible mark-up
- Using templating languages to build, create and implement custom and responsive layouts within a CMS
- Problem solving and solution creation for a CMS framework that has some legacy dependencies
- Be proficient in building websites, user interfaces and web applications that are cross-browser and multi-device functional and accessible
- Multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively within a project scope and budget
- Advanced HTML(5) and CSS(3) skills
- Experience with jQuery and JavaScript
- Proficient in utilising responsive frameworks including Bootstrap and Foundation
- A good understanding of web usability, accessibility and performance
- Understanding of native responsive web design and implementation
- Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
- A strong understanding of web usability, accessibility, and performance
- A knowledge or willingness to learn Sass and LESS frameworks
- Strong HTML5 skills
- Previous Front-End development experience with PHP or Velocity
- Previous experience using and leveraging API's
- Experience with the Liferay CMS
