Permanent role in Geelong leading the implementation and integration of a complex application portfolio

Your new company

We are now looking for an experienced Integration Solution Designer to join a large state government organisation on a permanent basis in central Geelong.

Your new role
In this role, you will provide technical leadership and direction to a range of Integration Specialists and System Analysts, leading the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives within software development and system integration.

This role will see you:

• Lead practical integration work under the technical direction of the system/service designer
• Recommend and design structures and tools for systems which meet business needs
• Deliver technical visualisation of proposed applications
• Translate logical designs into physical designs, and produce detailed design documentation
• Map work to user specification and removes errors and deviations from specification to achieve user-friendly processes
• Design, code, test, correct and document large and/or complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications using agreed standards and tools
• Design and build integration components and interfaces

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Technical proficiency in J2EE, Java, JSP, Servlets, ESQL and BPEL
• Demonstrated implementation experience with integration technologies such WebSphere MQ, Java Message Services or WebServices
• Extensive experience with IBM WebSphere suite including IBM Integration Designer/Business Process Manager, Operational Decision Manager, Integration Bus, Integration Developer & IIB Toolkit
• Strong experience with Unix and Linux (Red Hat)
• Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
• Excellent communication skills
• Significant experience in a similar role, supporting, developing, maintaining and improving a complex application portfolio
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage end-to-end support and resolution processes for assigned tasks through in-depth analysis, review and application of expert knowledge.
