About Medfin

Medfin is a wholly owned subsidiary of NAB and part of the NAB Health specialist business. Medfin has offices across Australia’s capital and regional cities, and provides more than $1 billion in new finance each year to our 20,000 clients across the medical industry.

The role

As the Manager, Engineering, you will provide strategic and operational leadership and direction to Medfin business in all areas relating to IT management, performance, systems and processes. This includes leading the team through the current Transformation project over to the Cloud.

You will also be responsible for managing Technology Services including network, application hosting services, workplaces provision, application support and maintenance, project work and improvement of infrastructure, systems and processes.

A strong focus will be placed on the applicant’s people leadership qualities and ability to engage/motivate their team to work autonomously towards outcomes; ensuring speed to market is maintained whilst guaranteeing a high quality of output to drive a first class customer experience.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the overall efficiency and working of the IT Business Efficiency team
• Manage and hold accountable all Medfin IT vendor relationships
• Continual improvement of Medfin IT environment and performance
• Oversee change initiatives and improvements to enhance the performance of key Medfin functionality
• Driver of consistent standards, processes and procedures through regular service performance analysis and sharing this with stakeholders
• Coaching, monitoring, supervision of a team of IT professionals and Efficiency Advisers
• Set team objectives, manage performance to ensure the delivery of quality services to ensure that staff receive honest feedback through performance management processes

Skills / Experience required:

• Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science or related field
• AWS Cloud certified
• 5+ years’ experience in information technology management
• Comprehensive understanding of systems, networks and applications.
• Solid experience in DevOps and Agile Methodology
• Preferred experience with Asset Leasing and Finance applications
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organisation including internal, external stakeholders and clients
• Vendor management experiences
• Solid understanding of ITIL V3 with Certification.
