Health Metrics is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to join our market leading Information Technology Team. Health Metrics is fast growing and innovative. Health Metrics are leaders and specialists in intelligent technology solutions and consulting services, for the Health and Wellbeing sectors. Our flagship software system eCase® supports/performs all the functions of Residential Aged Care, Home Care, Independent Living Units, Community Health Centers and Disability customers of any size.

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with a combined passion for software development and client management. 

About the Role:

You will analyse and define software requirements and specifications and guide design and development. You will also develop system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing systems and design and modify systems, propose modifications, additional system components or new systems to meet user needs. Experience in the aged or health sector will be most advantageous. 

Key Skills and Experience Required:

• Demonstrated experience in preparing complex user specifications and detailed business requirements.
• Analytical skills of a high order in a systems or business environment.
• Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills.
• Must have proven understanding of project management, systems development methodologies, testing methodologies and ITIL process.
• Technical skill is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult and liaise with stakeholders to confirm business requirements, the design of business functionality, system architecture, and interfaces.
• Conduct detailed analysis in support of business requirements and production problems and contribute to system design processes.
• Provide expert advice to clients on software solutions and professional services that achieve their business outcomes.
• Develop design documents such as functional specifications, use cases, and service interface specifications for use by system developers, using standards such as UML and BPMN where applicable.
• Identify, investigate and analyse business processes, procedures and work practices and assist in solving computer related problems, malfunctions and program problems.
• Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices supported by IT developments, system functionality and behaviour.
