A Datacom Service Desk Analyst is the front line of Datacom’s Managed Services, responsible for the accepting, prioritising and managing resolution of, all customer service requests. Through the use of their customer intimate knowledge, general IT understanding and remote control tools, the Service Desk will resolve customer issues directly when possible. Where additional support services are required, the Service Desk coordinates the other resources to manage the resolution.
 
The Service Desk is the hub of internal communication and the single point of contact for customer communication, as such this is a key role in ensuring we deliver high quality service to our customers.
 
The responsibilities of Service Desk Analysts are to manage customer requests, keep documentation up to date and ensure effective and professional communication with all parties. A successful Service Desk Analyst not only assists customers with their IT related requests, but takes the services provided by Datacom’s Service Desk to the next level, by thinking outside the square and resolving the immediate “business needs” of the customer.
 
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for IT, a thirst for learning and understand the importance of outstanding quality service. You are able to learn new material quickly and you love to solve problems. You have good communication skills and are proactive in seeking information to resolve issues.
