We are looking for Service Designers to work in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the identification and prioritisation of product work that benefits users

As a Service Designer, you are frequently refining and applying service design methods to get the best outcome for end users and will be responsible for delivering an efficient and user-centred service experience. You will work in a multidisciplinary team to build world-class government digital services. You will be helping government do the hard work to radically improve government information and services.
You will design to make services easy for everyone to be able to understand and use, with a focus on web standards, usability and accessibility.

Essential skills and experience

• The role will take a whole of government view on people’s experience of government services, and might require you to: map touchpoints with government as people experience different events in there life;
• identify pain points for users and for government; and
• design and iterate solutions to address known pain points.
• Extensive experience in the design of digital services for large organisations and government
• Demonstrable experience working in a User Centred Design environment
• Demonstrated experience mapping complex service environments both as is and future state based on insights from user research
• Demonstrated experience of producing user scenarios, service experience concepts, blueprints and detailed service design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Demonstrated experience working on operational services
• Demonstrated experience presenting persuasively to senior stakeholders
• High level communication and stakeholder engagement
