Roles & Responsibilities

As an Agile Delivery Manager – Scrum Master you will be responsible for the successful delivery of IT Development projects. Working closely with our business stakeholders, you will be the key IT contact supporting requirements gathering and Product Backlog maintenance for the projects you are working on.

  • Build on your existing experience and knowledge of agile best practices to help facilitate the successful delivery of IT development projects.
  • Ensure that visual management processes, tools and artefacts are leveraged optimally to provide a high-level of visibility of the current workflow and project status
  • Effectively manage all the activities that are necessary to the smooth delivery of work. This includes managing and coordinating business stakeholders and external partners, setting appropriate expectations around delivery of work
  • Be the key contact for business stakeholders supporting business-systems analysis and requirements gathering and communicating those requirements back to the DevOps team.
  • Facilitate project events and ceremonies, maintain project visual management and provide project status reports
  • Ensure project teams have all they need for successful delivery and remove any blockers or impediments

Candidate Criteria

As a suitable candidate, you will have:

  • Basic understanding of and desire to develop further knowledge and skills in agile software delivery
  • Experience of lading agile delivery teams
  • Technically competent and able to understand and communicate technical constraints to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to negotiate and exert influence to get win-win outcomes.
  • Proven stakeholder management and ability to build working relationships based on trust.
  • Ability to cut through complexity and remain focused on what matters. Must be organised, have good judgment and adept at balancing other people’s input with clear decision making.
  • Willingness and ability to coach and develop people to help them reach their full potential and become valuable team players.
