Due to internal mobility across regions our Client Services function needs an experienced Senior Developer / Technical Lead to be part of a high performing team.

This role will benefit from your deep understanding of the latest build, test, deployment, and configuration tools. You will have experience building high-performance, large-scale services. Being passionate about the customer experience, having the ability to ask the tough questions, and being a natural at working across functional areas are traits that will serve you well along with an ability to communicate ideas with developers, BA's and external stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has a strong hands on technical background with some experience in solution architecture to provide leadership, coaching and expertise. You will have the ability, opportunity to change, influence and shape the direction of the team and make a difference on how we grow our business.

You will help guide developers in understanding what things we worry about when designing a new service for a client, and anything that we shouldn't. You will also collaborate across the team to ensure project dependencies all move in the same direction at the same time. This is a high-profile, deeply technical role where you'll have a seat at the table with the opportunity for someone who can come in and also put forward their ideas and technical expertise.  

You will ideally have a background in web technologies with real opportunity to work on the latest technologies in Angular, ReactJS and Groovy just to name a few. You will also oversee the CI/CD pipeline with the opportunity to set up the automation environment from scratch using tools of your choice.

Skills and experience

The role spans across the entire project life cycle and requires you to:

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or similar
• 5+ years as a web application developer – full stack 
• Proven technical background in Java, HTML, CSS, XML, JS and Web Development technologies
• Oversee project infrastructure e.g., SCM, CI/CD and setting up the pipeline
• Automation tools experience in Selenium, Cucumber or Maven is ideal 
• A solid understanding of Restful APIs and Integration
• Object and Web Services mocking
• Good understanding of the testing pyramid
• Unit testing V Integration Testing
• Test automation
• Happy to be in front of clients and working in highly active collaborative teams
• Estimate on effort required to implement large technical solutions
• Mentor other employees on development and architecture best practice

Highly Desirable

• Some experience in developing and documenting solution designs
• Experience in different industries, financial services is a bonus
• Experience working in delivery teams and the SDLC
