Our client is a world leading supplier of scientific instruments, software, services and consumables. Located in a what is a true world-wide "centre of technical excellence", you will be part of high performing, multi-disciplinary team of experienced software engineers tasked with developing a next generation Software platform for our client's Spectroscopy product range.
As the successful candidate for this fantastic opportunity you will possesses the following skills:
* Experience with designing, developing (client/server) software solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio tools in C# and .NET - Both front-end (UI) and backend (server side)
* Websocket protocol via SignalR stack experience.
* Web front end (non asp.net) utilizing HTML5, Javascript, CSS as well as JQuery, Mithril, Node, and many other web stacks to provide a modern user experience.
* 3 years minimum experience developing with Web technologies.
* Experience with Agile, Scrum, TDD, continuous integration and/or automated testing.
* Experience with Quality lifecycle processes; Unit tests, User Acceptance Tests as well as continuous integration infrastructure.
* Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer science / Software engineering or equivalent
The following skills and experiences would also be considered a real advantage.
* Experience with designing, developing (client/server) software solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio tools in WPF and WCF
* Experience with debugging software solutions using profiling and memory analysis methods.
* Experience in service/micro-service architecture and technologies
* Experience in technologies using XML, JSON and/or REST.
* Experience in the use of virtual machines for development, testing and trouble-shooting
* Experience with git, Subversion, Jenkins and/or Nuget.
* Experience with database technologies -- SQL, noSQL.
We are currently seeking to employ 5 software engineers for an immediate start on a full time contract role of ~6 months with a view to potentially a contract extension or permanency. The office is located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs and there is plenty of parking provided on site.
