The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure Administrator to join the Global Information Services (IS) team.
 
Based in Brisbane, you will be responsible for providing assistance to all Infrastructure teams, supporting the implementation of Infrastructure related projects, and resolution and communication of incidents. 

Responsibilities
 
Key responsibilities of this role include: 
 
• Management and co-ordination of day to day operational activities and issues that arise within the enterprise-wide corporate systems
• Closely monitor Service Desk requests to ensure successful completion in a timely manner
• Monitoring of GHD systems/infrastructure and related risks 
• Contribute to the implementation and configuration of Platform Infrastructure components 
• Liaise with vendors to report issues and achieve a resolution to issues where and when required
• Act as level 3 escalation point for the IS Operations  teams, and other IT teams as necessary
• Pro-actively source improvements to the environment (processes and infrastructure) and suggest recommendations for implementation. 
• Incident reporting and resolution
• Ensure all systems related monthly service level targets (SLTs) are met
• Work with the Security team to address identified security issues as they relate to GHD’s IT systems in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with GHD’s data backup and disaster recovery policies and that implementation of such is operationally effective

Skills, qualifications and experience:


• Tertiary qualifications in IT related field
• Experience managing enterprise SAN/NAS environments
• Experience managing enterprise Virtual environments
• Proven project implementation experience on a global scale
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Previous project experience within a multi-cultural team
