An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a government department located in Stockton Newcastle. This Project Coordination role is temporary contract and attracts a great hourly rate of $55.00 per hour plus superannuation.
The role
The Project Officer is responsible for assisting the Manager Engineering and Asset Services to implement contemporary practices within the trades and maintenance areas. This includes ensuring that high risk activities, including work performed by ADHC trades staff and contractors are controlled by ensuring that LRCSSL - SS Work Health and Safety procedures and industry Codes of Practice relevant to trades and maintenance activities are implemented.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives
- Providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans
- Updating and collating documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to
ensure the delivery of projects - Undertaking basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning
- Assisting the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
- Communicating with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and
implementation issues
You
It is essential you have:
- Demonstrated 2 years experience in a project coordination role
- Solid background in Project Management
- Work independently and act with initiative
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Stakeholder engagement skills
