Job Summary
The IT Change & Release manager will be responsible for ensuring that the impact of new or upgraded IT systems and projects is managed in an effective way to ensure the delivery of desired business outcomes across the Clients IT platform. The IT Change & Release Manager will also convene the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to discuss the higher risk changes, where appropriate, and make the decision either to implement or reject the change. The IT Change & Release Manager also ensures that all activities to implement the change are undertaken in an appropriate manner and are documented and reviewed when completed.
Job Role
- Develop, implement and maintain leading practice IT Change & Release Management processes.
- Lead the development of enterprise Change and Release management policy.
- Accountable for maintaining the integrity of all IT system environments by ensuring strict release and change processes are followed by development and support teams throughout the release cycle.
- Ensure all transformation projects adhere to a strict change control process to minimise any adverse effects to the working environment and its end users.
- Leadership for all Change Management activities, to include new business planning, Change Advisory Board (CAB). The production of management information, Request for Changes (RFCs) and a change schedule.
- Review and assess IT changes across multiple IT platforms and technologies.
- Work collaboratively with change owners to ensure the impacts of changes to any of the components supporting enterprise applications are understood and managed to maintain defined service levels
- Develop and maintain an Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) calendar.
- Chair IT Change Advisory Board and other relevant Change governance meetings.
- Facilitate and document change Post Implementation Reviews (PIR’s).
Job Requirement
- Expert knowledge of ITIL Change Management.
- Proven experience working in a complex global technology environment.
- ITIL V3 Certification.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Experienced leadership and management of cross functional technology specialists.
- Expert communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to present to professional peers and work closely with Senior and Executive Management groups across the client environment.
- Ability to facilitate and chair meetings.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Good know how for ITSM tools like Service NOW
- Should have worked in multivendor environment
- Experience in other ITSM modules like Knowledge and Release management will be an advantage
Qualification Required-
- Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology, and/or equivalent experience
- ITIL Practitioner Certificate (or relevant industry framework)
