Sitro Group Australia is currently seeking to employ a Senior Computer Network and Systems Engineer at our Mount Waverley office. This is a permanent fulltime position, reporting to the General Manager.

The Role

You will be responsible for the implantation and oversight of businesses IT Corporate Governance requirements by working with Management, Sales and Operations departments to ensure that the businesses overarching IT business goals and objectives are successfully delivered.  Reporting to the General Manager and located in our Mt Waverley office.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluation and consolidation of online software platforms and portfolios
  • Vender management
  • Creating and updating Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans
  • Project Management
  • Ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance by evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure
  • Provide trouble shooting and fault-finding services for network problems
  • Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
  • Supporting internal teams to ensure smooth business transitions
  • Zendesk (CRM Software) upgrade, installation and troubleshooting
  • Setup, maintaining and supporting a range of client desktop workstations and laptops with associated hardware and software
  • Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies
  • Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations
  • Providing network programming in support of specific business needs
  • Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and maintenance instructions
  • Managing VoIP software (Skype for Business), system implementation
  • Evaluating system design and architecture specifications, in the configuration and integration of computer systems
  • Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance
  • Coaching and training internal staff on system changes, upgrades and issues
  • Providing on-site support to resolve complex and simple queries

 

In addition to your sound technical skills you will have: the following skills and qualifications –

  • Communication:  Communicate effectively in a variety of settings with all levels of management and staff to establish productive relationships.
  • Teamwork: Tactful, diplomatic and works with integrity, honesty and respect for others.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong listening and analytical skills to understand user’s needs and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to these needs.
  • Attention to Detail & Prioritisation: High levels of accuracy and quality of work produced; good organisational skills to ensure tasks and projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Relationship/Network Building: Proactively develops and maintains working relationships with internal colleagues to support the achievement of immediate and future need or objectives.
  • 5 + Years of experience in computer networking preferably Diploma or Bachelors 
  • Relevant IT qualifications preferably Diploma or Bachelors 
  • Advanced trouble shooting capabilities on software and hardware.
  • Experience with iMIS highly desirable
  • Mobile Device Management
  • IP Telephony Systems
