AWD is a rapidly growing Web, Digital and IT Solution provider based in Collingwood Victoria. We specialise in a wide range of services including website design, eCommerce, digital marketing and managed IT services.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced PHP web developer / programmer to join our team on a full time basis.
Your Role:
- Develop websites and web applications with PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript
- Laravel and custom PHP coding
- Design and manage MySQL database
- Produce web service - RESTful, JSON and XML
- Test and debug projects
- Review, revise and manage code produced by other developers
- Maintain and fix website and web server issues
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Work individually or in a team environment
- Collaborate with sales team and project manager to produce estimates and technical roll out plans
Things that you’ll need to know and things that will get you bonus points
- 2+ years of experience as a web developer/programmer, ideally in an agency environment (not a must)
- Strong skills in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with open-source packages such as WordPress, Drupal, Magento, etc
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and/or Symfony
- Experience with APIs and web service
- Solid understanding of Linux environment
- Experience using GIT or similar version control systems
- Understanding of trends, capabilities and limitations of web technologies
- Proactive, strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, self-confident and highly motivated
- Great documentation skills and attention to detail
- Experience with JavaScript framework such as Angular, React, Vue and/or other will be bonus
- Understanding of other programming language such as .NET, Java, C#, Golang etc will be bonus
