The Company

Professional IT is an Australian owned company providing essential computer systems support to its clients since 2002. Our services include the provision of computer systems from the initial consulting phase through to ongoing support, maintenance and hardware upgrades, we even provide tailor made solutions for our unique clients.

We provide our services to a wide range of businesses, in manufacturing, product development, and professional services, but we specialise in providing vital support services to general practitioners and specialists in the medical profession.

Our vision is simple to provide our customers with a service that is second to none which makes them feel like they have their own internal IT department but without the large ongoing costs.

Key Functions

  • To provide level one and two technical support to all clients as per agreed processes, procedures and service level standards.

  • Providing remote and onsite customer support including fault diagnosis for all software and hardware faults on laptops, desktop computers, printers, servers and associated peripherals.

  • The ability to build, configure and provide support for all Windows server and desktop environments.

  • The ability to complete on-site support request including the installation and configuration of servers, desktops and peripherals with minimal supervision or guidance.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years experience working for a managed services provider or a small to medium IT company providing support services to a broad and diverse range clients.

  • Display a strong level of logical and common sense thought processing in your workflow.

  • Minimum 2 years experience providing support for Microsoft Desktop operating systems including  Windows 7 and 8, 10 software platforms,

  • Demonstrated ability in providing support within domain and workgroup environments

  • Installing, configuring and providing support within Windows Server 2008  2012 and 2016 environments.

  • Installing, configuring, supporting and managing user accounts within Active Directory environments,

  • Installing, configuring, supporting and managing all aspects associated with Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Office 365 environments,  

  • Understanding of virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere, ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V

  • In depth knowledge and demonstrated trouble shooting skills on PC and MAC environments,

  • Proven experience in providing general administration support for Microsoft SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012.
  • Understanding of networking and routing including LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Understanding of CISCO switching, routing, and firewalls

  • Apple OS X & Apple OS x Server experience

  • Providing IT Support to the Medical Industry

  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and tools

  • The ability to design and architecture solutions for clients

  • Supported environments using Medical Director, Bluechip, Genie, Prac Soft, Shexie, VIP

 

Qualifications & Accreditations

  • Higher School Certificate (HSC)

  • Certificate IV in Information Technology (TAFE) or

  • Associated Microsoft Accreditations (MSA/MCSE)
