The Position:
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Perth based team as an experienced Level 1 Support/Helpdesk Engineer providing support to our clients within WA. As we provide out-of-hours support to some of our customers, some work out-of-hours may be required.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responding to helpdesk tickets and management and assignment of incoming support requests.
  • First level support in resolving technical issues. 
  • The installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows desktop and laptops.
  • Management of users, groups, and computers in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365/Azure AD, and Microsoft Intune.
  • The maintenance of software such as Microsoft Office, Windows 7/8/10, Veeam, ShadowProtect, Duo Security, Symantec, and Trend Micro anti-virus products.

The skills you possess will include:

  • Demonstrated Helpdesk / Service Desk support experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • An excellent troubleshooting / problem solving ability.
  • An knowledge of desktop hardware, Windows operating systems- Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Entry level experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Group Policy, and DNS.
  • Knowledge of iOS and Android devices.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Exposure to Virtualisation platforms such as Hyper-V or VMWare.
  • A current MCSA or working towards certification.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate (formerly LabTech) or similar solutions.

Training in areas such as document management systems and other commercial products will be provided as required.

Salary is by negotiation, subject to experience shown. At least 2 years’ commercial experience is required.
