The Information Security Consultant is responsible for the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of controls and management of strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems related to Cyber Security Capability.
The Security Consultants will plan, organise, schedule, integrate and deliver complex security services and products, whilst working cohesively and flexibly with related stakeholders to Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC).
The Capability delivered will enhance Australia’s National Cyber Security Capability.
- Must hold an active or inactive TSPV clearance
- 12 or 24 months Contract on offer

Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Information Security Manual (ISM) principles and controls.
- Familiarity with domain and technology-specific security guidelines e.g. ISO 27000, ISO 31000 series.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver and update Systems Accreditation Plan (SAP) in accordance with the ASD accreditation authority framework.
- Develop, deliver and update following System Security Certification documentation as required:
- Threat Risk Assessments (TRA);
- ISM Control Matrix;
- System Security Plans (SSP);
- Security Risk Management Plans (SRMP);
- Security On-boarding Management Plan (SOMP)
- Vulnerability Testing Management Plan (VTMP);
- Security Incident Response Plan (SIRP).
- Develop, deliver and update following System Security policy, processes and procedures:
- Business Benefit statements;
- Security Governance Model (SGM);
- Security Information Policies (SIP);
- Security Patch Management Processes;
- Security Access Management Procedures;
- Sanitation, Destruction and disposal procedures.
- Develop, deliver and update Systems Security Risk register.
- Review all internally and externally developed security engineering artefacts to ensure that all security objectives and business outcomes are achieved.
