Your new role:

Reporting to the General Manager – Geosolutions, you will work with account managers, technical managers and customers to analyse, design and implement geospatial solutions including web and mobile applications.
  
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Architect and implement enterprise geospatial solutions using industry standard IT security practices
• Designing, developing and extending web GIS 2D and 3D applications
• Undertaking consultative requirements gathering, definition and documentation with customers to ensure adequate understanding of technical requirements
• Developing custom viewers, databases, and technical applications to enhance the existing service offering and to integrate with third party applications for specific client needs
• Conducting performance tuning, improvement, usability testing, capacity planning and automation
• Preparing technical documentation including deployment and administration guides
• Providing analysis of customer requirements in support of the AAM Account Managers
• Preparing and delivering pre-sales demonstrations

What you’ll offer us:

Apart from being a self-starter and a team player you’ll also showcase the usual well-developed verbal and written communication skills, good time management, attention to detail, problem solving and an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in computer science, software engineering or geomatics
• 3-5 years’ experience in similar role within a Geospatial organisation
• Previous experience in at least one of the following areas - GIS/Geospatial software, SaaS and Cloud Services
• Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following ESRI technologies: ArcGIS Server, Desktop, Portal, ArcGIS Online or similar
• Experience with front end technologies including; HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, jQuery
• Substantial experience in enterprise IT environments, particularly Windows Server and Microsoft IIS
• Substantial experience with SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server and SQL spatial
• Excellent presentation skills
• Customer facing IT training experience favourable
• A willingness to travel interstate and to New Zealand
