An exciting opportunity exists in Sydney or Melbourne for an experienced Channel Sales Engineer to join the newly formed Citrix Team, reporting to the Senior Business Manager. What you will need to succeed in this role:

  • Minimum 10 full time years’ experience in IT
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT pre-sales – vendor experience preferred
  • Deep technical knowledge of enterprise networking including remote accesses, application development life-cycle, application security and WAN technologies, as well as client/server application deployment architectures and issues.
  • Extensive experience in architecting, deploying and supporting enterprise networks.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT operations methodology and relevance to large IT environments (eg: monitoring, change management, capacity planning etc)
  • Demonstrated solutions sales experience
  • Persuasive Sales Skills supported by excellent business acumen and product knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of business issues and customer needs, technological developments, trends and competitive activity.
  • Relevant tertiary discipline or equivalent experience
  • CCP or equivalent experience

 

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide input regarding partner landscape within a local market, solutions offered, quality of service and technical reputation (technical and strategic)
  • Evaluate current partner's technical readiness relative to Citrix NetScaler’s technical strategy (solutions, products, use cases) and identify gaps in readiness.
  • Work with Citrix Education and Readiness teams to help the partner reach a higher technical sales and service capability
  • Provide technical direction, and influence new and existing partners toward developing new NetScaler-based solutions
  • Gather insight into strategic / high-value opportunities that the Partner is pursuing and communicate/drive with Citrix account teams
  • Act as Partner advocate and escalate technical response to unresolved Partner technical support issues
  • Educate partners and promote use of Citrix Support and effective use of Knowledge Base, Product deployment guides and local technical resources
  • Participate with partner in addressing technical questions relating to architecting, deploying and supporting networking solutions based on Citrix NetScaler
  • Help partner technical sales teams design innovative architectural solutions that drive strategic objectives and help differentiate partner offerings. (Ecosystem solutions – Azure, etc.)
  • Establish collaborative relationships with internal resources such as Sales Engineers, Consultants, Channel Managers and Product Management
  • Inspire and motivate partners to align with Citrix’s vision, driving mutual benefit.
