The Integrated Workforce Management Project
The Integrated Workforce Management Project (IWFM) is an ICT enabled business change project within Queensland Health that will be delivered in three stages.  We are currently preparing for stage 2 which will see the implementation of the myHR solution.
This stage of the project will involve:

  • configuring additional functionality within our existing SAP HR solution
  • partnering with Hospital and Health Services to develop and refine business processes
  • training and change management to support the adoption and effective usage of new functionality and processes

We are seeking Principal Business Analysts and Business Analysts
Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the research and analysis of current workforce management and business practices
  • Inspire team members by investing time in building positive and productive relationships and setting clear objectives
  • Oversee the research and recommend variations to local business rules and procedural matters
  • Ensure that high quality documentation is developed 
  • Conduct and supervise the analysis of existing business processes and data
  • Provide advice with the development and implementation of project plans  
  • Department and branch outcomes 
  • Interpret business and user requirements and provide advice on the application of the information systems solution to optimise business outputs 
  • Actively manage a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices
  • Lead and consult with Queensland Health business representatives across the state to configure and implement the Queensland Health HR solution to meet the needs of all Queensland health stakeholders.
  • Undertake risk and issues identification 
  • Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures 

What we are looking for?
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience.

  • Strong background in researching, analysing and documenting business requirement specifications, documenting software requirement specifications and using Use Case methodology. 
  • Strong experience in process and data management and analytics 
  • Proven experience in drawing business process models including ‘as is’ and ‘to be’. 
  • Demonstrated expertise to identify key issues, perform research and analysis and develop and document solutions. 
  • Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage a large workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy. 
  • Applied understanding of the health industry, legislation, and regulations including those related to rostering, human resources and or finance systems. 
  • Knowledge of HR/payroll and rostering workflow / processes and systems would be highly desirable particularly in a health context.

Mandatory qualifications/professional registration/other requirements

  • While not mandatory relevant qualification in Information Technology and/or Project Management would be well regarded. 
  • Ability to travel intra-state is a requirement of this role.
  • Ability to be based in the location of the facility implementation site as per the project implementation schedule.
