Work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team performing the Technical Writing function across a broad range of large and small automation solutions, consisting of products in an ongoing volume manufacturing phase, as well as more bespoke client solutions as required from time to time, ranging form small lab equipment through to large mine-based sampling mechanisms.
Due to retirement, we are looking for a Technical Writer to continue the writing of manuals, the preparation of documents, and the management of standards pertaining to our suite of machines and equipment.
To be successful in applying for this role you will possess:
- A proven ability to create detailed and professional Installation and Operation Manuals
- Experience in creating procedures for the maintenance and repair of machines
- The ability to use and refine a documentation management system
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Creative flair for the layout and professional appearance of manuals and published documents
- A proven ability in reviewing complex specifications, and articulating meaningful conclusions to stakeholders
- The ability to manage a library of manuals and specifications in a systematic, logical & controlled way
- Experience of using proprietary software to be able create differing diagrammatic views for inclusion in other manuals such as exploded views of machinery
- A sense of what’s commercially sensible to be considered as spares and hence detailed in the manuals
You will be a team player with a close attention to detail, someone who takes pride in their work and is confident with detailing installation and maintenance steps as both written instruction and as diagrams as it relates to complex machinery.
