The Job:
The Systems Engineer will undertake multiple customer-facing projects to plan, design, test and implement IPTV solutions, comprising software and hardware for customers locally and sometimes overseas.
The Systems Engineer will undertake a broad remit of roles supporting sales staff with pre-sales, demos and proofs of concept and working closely with customer stakeholders and technical staff to define requirements, design solutions and implement the most appropriate virtual and cloud-based video solutions for customers.
Typical projects include IPTV, MATV and digital content management or digital signage solutions for customers in the fields of hospitality, hotels, enterprise, media, government and defence, enabling professional content delivery across multiple platforms and devices.
Located:
This is a Sydney-based, full-time position with flexible work arrangements allowing the successful candidate to work from home when not on customer sites. Regular travel is expected including international requirements in APAC and beyond so a valid passport, drivers license and flexibility to travel are essential.
What we’re looking for:
- Tertiary qualifications in computer science / networking;
- Technical experience in IP network fundamentals;
- Good knowledge of Linux / Unix platforms;
- Experience virtualising applications and services;
- Travel – lots of it. Must be available and willing;
- Reliable character with good attention to detail.
- Experience in IPTV or digital AV installations a plus;
This is a customer-facing position, so strong communication skills and an approachable personality are absolutely vital.
