The team is growing! Our client is centralising their entire IT capability to implement a seamless, effective and high performing solution across their multiple agencies and business units. As a result, we are seeking to onboard a Systems Administrator.


The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the operational planning, implementation, performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures for critical systems and environments. Serving as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating environments, you will be recommending where appropriate the design and configuration of operating systems and applications.


As Systems Administrator you will provide queue management to ensure that Infrastructure Services consistently achieves published Service Levels, where business expectations are met or exceeded. This position also plays an important role by providing support and day-to-day operational administration of Incidents and Requests allocated to the Infrastructure Services team.

ESSENTIALLY YOU…

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent and subsequent relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and relevant experience in maintaining an enterprise Service Desk function within cross-disciplinary teams and environments, with a proven track record of delivering operational technologies, services and IT solutions adopted by the Diocese.
  • Understanding of relevant best-practice frameworks, including IT service management (ITIL), IT project management, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Good problem-solving and multitasking skills couples with the ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to think creatively, act strategically and manage change.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage, manage, negotiate, influence and establish effective relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within broad guidelines.
