Pre Sales Consultant

My client is an international Tier 1 vendor currently on an amazing transformational journey into the cloud that will see their already cutting edge solutions go to the next level and deliver even more value to their clients.  As a result of this growth they are looking for a Pre Sales Consultant to join their award winning team covering ANZ

Your Opportunity

We are seeking a technically adept, collaborative solution engineer professional to join our team. You’ll work with other members of the pre-sales team to address the technical needs of potential customers and close new business deals from sales leads. In this role, you’ll serve as a counsellor and adviser to customers and an outcome focused coach to coworkers, providing advice and guidance throughout the sales cycle. 

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to rapidly understand and translate clients’ business challenges and concerns into a solution oriented discussion.
  • Persuasive communication skills for presenting to all customer levels, from CTOs/CIOs and to engineering manager.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity and strategic thinking for troubleshooting database and application problems.
  • Will have a good understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce or similar.
  • You will have worked in an indirect, partner focused sales environment
  • A working knowledge of Informatica solutions would be preferred.
 Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert with responsibility for analyzing, explaining and selling the technical aspects of the solution to customers.
  • Working with Sales Account Managers, you’ll manage the technical sales cycle to ensure new business opportunities come to fruition.
  • Proactively engage with customers and prospects to demonstrate our products and effectively communicate the key differentiators.
  • Assist customers with initial product evaluations and share relevant customer success stories.
  • Respond promptly to customer questions with deep, detailed technical explanations of product features and capabilities
  • Serve as a technical coach to your colleagues in sales, professional services, product management and engineering
  • Prepare and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals
  • Deliver and/or coordinate differentiated solution demonstrations to prospective customers
  • Manage technical validation activities including proof of concepts

Skills & Experience
  • BS degree or equivalent experience in product and cloud applications, ability to understand and explain related technologies, working knowledge of company products, all potential applications and effective communication skills.
  • Minimum of five years in pre-sales experience at a software vendor/partner ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated capability at delivering complex technical demonstrations to a large audience of varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Regularly attend industry/thought leading networking events
  • Big Data knowledge/experience highly regarded
