Our client is currently undertaking a large Cybersecurity Transformation Program and are currently on the lookout for an experience Project Manager to assit in the dleivery of aspects of this program.
You will be responsible for:
Managing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of ICT projects ensuring alignment with ICT strategy, commitments and goals. These projects will all, to some extent and to varying degrees, have impacts in other areas of the business that ICT serves. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing team members and third-party contractors or consultants, taking responsibility for delivering consistency through effective quality assurance and adherence to IT Industry standard project management methodologies. Projects vary in size from small to large depending on the matrix of budget, risk, complexity and impact.
- Consistent and professional delivery of projects, exceeding stakeholder expectations through the application of stakeholder management principals and sound governance
- Plan, lead and manage ICT projects, which may form a part of a wider program of work. Typically projects assigned at this level would be of some complexity, working across several systems and delivering up to a core strategy.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables in consultation with the business and ICT stakeholders.
- Develop and then maintain the project plan, schedule, tasks and resource requirements against timelines
- Risk and Issues management and reporting.
- Identify, assemble and manage project teams (e.g. ICT technical team members, business stakeholders, external vendors etc.)
- Prepare, manage and report on the project budget and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge project management principles, practices and practical application.
- A high standard of both written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management. A demonstrated ability to manage resources and deliver a high quality of work Comprehensive understanding of and adherence to standard IT industry project management methodologies.
- Excellent time management. A sense of urgency and ability to prioritise, and escalate when necessary.
- Proven ability to manage the operational and process documentation related to project management.
- Demonstrable track record of managing traffic and workflow within project teams through the effective scheduling of resources and
- regular reporting to management.
- Demonstrated expertise and proven ability to plan, manage and implement projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills, to motivate team members, help negotiate priorities, resolve conflicts and deliver solutions to the business.
- Strong problem solving skills. Outstanding professional presentation and ability to represent the project teams and ICT portfolio in a professional and positive manner.
- Extensive experience in project management within the IT industry (typically more than 7 years);
- Significant experience in a project management leadership role;
- Extensive experience in software and/or application development projects;
- Experience with System Change control and Change Request management procedures;
- Experience working within a large corporate or public sector environment;
- Experience with senior stakeholders;
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications;
- Exposure to Office 365 and Clarity Project Management tool highly desirable
