Southern Migrant Resource Centre (SMRC) is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year.  SMRC is a not for profit organization that aims at empowering the diverse communities in the South East Region of Melbourne to ensure inclusion in a unified Australian Society.  We work in partnership with our communities and other stakeholders to ensure that the new comers in the community are well supported to reach their maximum potential by developing and delivering progressive programs using a strengths based approach.

The Position

Reporting to the General Manager Social Enterprises, you will lead and manager the ICT, Infrastructure and Facilities portfolio and support the entire IT environment and oversee the management of infrastructure, facilities and equipment at all sites of SMRC. You will proactively aim for best practice for operational management across the organisation and will have the responsibility for providing high level advice and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team on procurement, contract and lease management and all operational functions to ensure prudent financial management and sustainability.

Requirements:

The role will suit a well-rounded, energetic and enthusiastic professional, with relentless focus on delivering exceptional services to internal clients, and promoting a philosophy of accountability. Your tertiary qualifications in Information Technology /Computer Science and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft certified Solutions and Cisco certified routing and switching knowledge will put you in good stead for this role.

However, you will also bring excellent organisational, strong leadership, analytical and problem solving skills to this role along with your ability to endear to a diverse workforce and ensure operations are undertaken in the most efficient manner.

You will have a passion for innovation and seek to secure the most creative solution to a diverse range of challenges and willingness to learn new skills. You will enjoy seeing the completion of projects to the satisfaction of your internal customers. You will be outcome focussed but able to understand and recognise the community services and human resource context in which you work.

The Location

This position is based in Dandenong, a great place to work because it is the most diverse region in Australia.  You do not need to travel the world to taste food from a large range of countries.  Dandenong Market which is at the doorsteps of SMRC offers you food from across the world at a price that does not pinch your pocket.
