The Fred Hollows Foundation is one of Australia’s most respected and trusted international development organisations whose vision is to end avoidable blindness and ensure the work of Fred Hollows lives on. The Foundation works in 26 countries across Africa, Asia, The Pacific and the Middle East as well as in Australia.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director – Technology & Business Services, your role will be to lead and manage the delivery of technology services, operations and projects in alignment with the Foundation’s strategic plan. Providing leadership to a diverse team of IT experts (3 direct reports overseeing outsourced services), you will be responsible for the implementation and further design of our new holistic cloud based architecture. As the Global Lead, you will take full ownership of technology delivery including cloud architecture (infrastructure, identity, security, collaboration and communication) and a global operations service model (service desk and field services) within a complex footprint of 500 staff working in more than 20 countries.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate a solid career in designing and implementing global IT infrastructure. Experience and knowledge in technology process improvement using frameworks such as ITIL will be highly desirable as will your previous experience successfully leading others. More than this we are seeking someone who can work within a complex environment with a “can do “approach. You will be a hands on leader, with a passion for driving simplicity and enhancing the user experience.
You will bring exceptional communication skills with the ability to consult and advise senior stakeholders, and negotiate, manage and co-ordinate external vendors and service providers.
