BizCover is Australia number one InsureTech platform for Business Insurance.  Our aim is to give Small Businesses a fair go when buying their insurance by providing them with clear and competitive pricing.  As well as cutting out the complicated Insurance jargon.  Whilst we have been established for over ten years, we are still very much in start up mode and are constantly looking at new ways to improve our current business offering.

character and are looking for a talented Business Analyst (3 to 5 years of experience) to embark on a journey with us to build a world class platform for our customers. We are undertaking a digital transformation to leverage our globally recognized platform to fulfill our vision of dominating the global SME commercial insurance market.

What am I accountable to deliver?

• Interact collaboratively with the Product Owner to ensure that the user stories are ready to be estimated and worked on by the developers
• Requirement Traceability Matrix Documents
• Functional Design Documents
• Business Process Documents
• Assist the developers and the quality assurance team in delivering the agreed user stories (i.e. 3-way handshake)
• Help the product owner in coaching and assisting more junior resources

About you

• 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst ideally in the Insurance Industry
• Familiar with the Scrum rituals. (daily stand ups, sprint planning, mid-sprint health checks, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews etc.)
• Excellent Agile Story Writing skills
• Proven track record of solid experience in the main Business Analysis activities: requirement elicitation, requirement analysis, fit/gap analysis, stakeholder management, cost/benefit analysis, business case experience (ideal);
• Data-driven culture
• Excellent communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence in an AGILE methodology
• General SQL proficiency
• Strong experience in working according to Agile and Kanban practices
• Ability to work closely with stakeholders and effectively manage their expectations
• Proven ability to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities, specifically in working within the insurance industry (rating, claims,
• underwriting questions, coverage)
• Proven organisational, time management and leadership skills
• Strong work ethic and milestone-oriented mindsets (e.g. be on-time, deliver on-time)
