You will be joining our Technology team as a permanent full-time Program Manager, Project Delivery. You are aligned with Sydney Airport’s values of integrity and openness; safety and security; excellence; teamwork, creativity and flexibility; and sustainability.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Technology Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs that deliver new technologies including business processes, systems and infrastructure.
The Program Manager will work closely with the business to plan and coordinate the development, delivery and testing of products to ensure that the technology initiatives in their strategy are professionally managed from original concept through to final implementation.
What you’ll need to be successful
To be successful in the role, you will need to use your strong relationship management and engagement skills to build critical partnerships with key stakeholders. It is also essential that you possess:
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in project delivery including large, complex programs of work
- Industry recognised project management qualifications
- Staff management experience
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and toolsets
- Advanced communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to establish effective relationships with stakeholders and manage their expectations
- Proven ability to manage budgets and effectively manage financial plans and resourcing
- Advanced conflict and risk management skills
- Evidence to show how you contribute to and lead projects that meet business strategy needs and deliver improvement in practices
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business principles, practices and procedures, especially as it pertains to PMO
- Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
- Applies functional expertise and fundamental business knowledge to contribute to the strategic direction of the function and supported client groups
Desired skills and experience include:
- Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
