• Management of high performance systems in computing, data storage and networks
• 12 Months contract
• Melbourne CBD

Contractual role with the Federal Government involving management of high performance systems in computing, data storage and networks to support and sustain 24x7 production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the operation of the HPC systems and network interconnects, system services, operating system software runtime environment to ensure the service levels in performance and availability are met.
• Be available to provide on-call support, as required.
• Contribute to the operation of the High Performance Data (HPD) systems and network interconnections, file and data services software and runtime environments
• Contribute to the operation of software runtime services and application development environment, user environment.
• Participate in the development of policies, processes and service agreements governing the support of this mission critical environment.

To be successful in this role you must have the below skillset:

• Have at least 12 months experience with:
• supercomputer or HPC systems;
• parallel file systems, storage systems and job schedulers;
• operating large, complex systems and commitments to performance and availability of 24x7 production environment.
• Have experience in change management process and support tracking systems.
• Have experience in supporting HPC users and parallel programming environments.
• Have well developed liaison, and oral and written communications skills.
• Successfully complete the security baseline vetting.
