Senior Business Analyst (EIM)
We’re looking for a senior business analyst (data strategy) for one of our financial services clients based in Sydney CBD. Working on a large transformation program around Enterprise Information Management Framework, comprising of data governance, data quality, MDM (Master data management) etc you will work closely with business advising on Information Management best practice and oversea delivery of the framework.
The role will require significant knowledge of Data and Information Management framework design and delivery but the position itself is non-technical. Sitting within the business stream but interacting regularly technical staff you will need the ability to talk in technical terms when needed be able to translate this into non-technical when dealing with senior business stakeholders outside of IT.
The role will require liaising with senior level business stakeholders regularly in order to understand the business strategy and identify business needs. This will involve the collection, analysis, communication and validation of requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems across multiple business lines and system platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops to ensure alignment with group wide (EIM) standards and processes.
- Act as the Senior Business Analyst advising on (EIM) Enterprise Information Management framework and Data Strategy.
- Supporting adherence to data governance principles, policies and procedures so that the intended purpose of Data Governance is achieved
- Understand and execute the overall Bank Data Strategy
- Working closely within the Data Councils to ensure key data risks and issues are regularly reassessed, well understood within the businesses and that mitigation initiatives on track
- Take ownership and help stakeholders across the Bank to execute initiatives
- Help and ensure projects in Bank are aligned to Bank Data Strategy Roadmap principles and guideline
- Update and keep Bank Data Strategy current aligned with Enterprise Data Strategy
Skills required
- 5+ years’ experience working as a true Senior Business Analyst with sound understanding of the concepts of (EIM) Information Management, encompassing data governance, data quality, MDM etc
- You will have a proven track record of turning complex business problems into a clear set of requirements that can be understood by technical and business users.
- Experience of leading and delivering workshops on (EIM) and data governance best practice.
- Project and relationship management
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build high level relationships
